"Aavesham" (Excitement) directed by Jithu Madhavan and powered by FaFa (Fahad Fazil) is a fun packed action movie with FaFa's inimitable performance as a Goon. The enactment of a Kannadiga cum Malayali goon Ranga by FaFa is a wonderful characterisation, well written by the director Jithu Madhavan. The director was once a student of an aircraft engineering College in Bangalore, and hence has picked up the thread of the story happening around an aircraft engineering College.
Goons in Bangalore, typically wear white shirt, white pants and wear a lot of rings on all the fingers and wear thick jewellery around their neck. The attire of FaFa also is in the same fashion. Goons are not born but created, but have a great loving heart. They are deprived of love and hence look forward to some love from some where even though they are in a spider web involving'tools', Goondas, fights and murders at times. The movie brings out the loving heart of the goon Ranga by FaFa.
The director Jithu Madhavan is fully aware of the life of Bangalore Malayali students, the PG accommodations and the slang of the Malayalam spoken in Bangalore. The dialect spoken by FaFa is a Kannada accented Malayalam and he has been able to do 100% justice to the language.
The comedy done by FaFa and his goonda team is spontaneous. Audience burst into laughter very often in the first half. The fight sequences bring a lot of reality to show how the goons go to resolve common man's problems, also conquer huge malls, properties and do land mafia. There is a reality in a dialogue which conveys that the once cheap land turned out to become Bangalore International airport.
The goons are living a most risky life equally hired by real estate players, common men and politicians to get early solutions and that too settlement amicable to both parties, without using their tools. This reality is well brought out in the movie.
The plot deals with three happy-going youngsters Bibi (Mithun Jai Shankar), Aju(Hipster), and Shanthan (Roshan Shahnavaz), who come to Bangalore to study in the aircraft engineering College. To escape from the clutches of the seniors' ragging they befriend Ranga (FaFa), but Ranga loves them so much as he was finding a brotherly love with them. FaFa's "Eda Mowne" is the punchline picked up by the audience.
The students initially are thrilled by Ranga's activities, but later find themselves fixed in the goonda community, unable to pass their examination. They bring courage to speak up with Ranga that they are fed up with the thug life. Ranga has a weakness of motherly love & thereby the climax is something which the viewer has to see in their favourite theatre.
Amazing fight sequences and comedy by Ranga's immediate aide Amban (Sajin Gopi). I, being a Bangalorean since 2004 appreciate the whole team for bringing out the'unknown' face of the thug life in Bangalore.
Hey, FaFa fans what are you waiting for?
It's full in full, a FaFa movie 🎥 Fantastic performance by FaFa!
