Schrodinger's Cat, a proposed paradox posing as a thought experamment sets the theme for the Matrix reboot. Unlike the paradox were a cat is isolated in a box with something deadly leaving us unsure of it's mortality, The Matrix franchise has informed it's viewers with four movies worth of insght and information to base observations on.
While the first movie and it's sequels nicely illustrated questions concerning conciousness, Reurrections fails in it's attempt to question our existance through the characters of the origional trilogy. Unlike Schrodinger Cat, the movie takes place in the world of the lives at question or, in other words, 'in the box.'
It fails in reality as well as in the fictional world. By questioning the existance of the franchises characters, it dilutes the meaning and utility of the origional movies. Taken together, The Matrix movies can only be valued for the sensory entertainment they provide. That is- unless you refarain from watching this clumbsy reboot.
