I have liked the show and while it obviously requires you to suspend disbelief I think it dealt too quickly with the shock of seeing people back from the dead. Plus the risen people themselves would have likely demonstrated more awe at their circumstances.
As time is limited I understand they had to fast track some character arcs. The acting is mostly solid with some wooden performances but this could have been a result of script writing or direction. I think it a worthy production but would have liked to have seen more “in the moment” reactions to the development of technology and society. How shocked would a WW1 vet be to see modern Melbourne? Let alone someone from 180-200+ years ago. Yet this was a huge opportunity missed, sadly.
