Lucidity of monochrome filming, authentic 70s setting with attention to detail and a preference for strong sun makes for lyrical movie style that belies brutality of daily grind for two women and their social networks in Mexico. There is brilliant editing and continuity that provides an unbroken narrative. Amateur actors act their hearts out for this genius of a director. Technically excellent and with a strong narrative, this must be the film of the year. Stark boundaries between the Europeans and the local ‘servant’ classes is subtly woven in and the green shoots of sisterhood across racial divide is nicely explored, yet to mature?

Gripping and binge-worthy. Pete and Farr actors impressive. Rose's character a little less credible esp her cyber skills ( always seem to find passwords/ hack successfully etc) Story line a little hackneyed centred around Iron Curtain/ Midddle Eastern/Korean (n) protagonists. There was some Trumpian sense of betrayal tropes. So I'd say sub- 24 (amazing that Peter's surname is Suthrtand) and Bodyguard.
