I really enjoyed this book but I had to take a star off for a few reasons. I felt like Kevin was being portrayed as dumb and hot tempered, not believable for someone who is supposed to be a former CIA operative. Initially, Alex is a chemist and cleverly uses her chemistry knowledge to defend herself, but then somehow she transforms into a hard-core assassin. It just felt inconsistent. I also felt that Daniel’s unwavering affection for Alex was not credible, there needed to be some animosity toward her after she tortured him. Still really enjoyed the book tho!!!
