I had much higher expectations for this show. I typically very much enjoy historical based shows and movies , even if there is fictional aspects to it. Elle fanning’s character is played very well, however , the script and “female feminism” role comes off so strong it’s almost annoying to watch. As a historical fan, the idea that a woman could have acted this way in the time period is unbelievable as a watcher . Comedy is good but does ruin the show as it decreases any chance of someone enjoying the historical time period aspect of it . Great actors and costumes , not so great plot
