Some might perceive him as a bigot, others might see him as too complex. His mind is a masterpiece with how he explains why things are the way they are, why humans do what they do, so on and so forth. Why this must be done in this way because some things are just genetically inherited into the basic code of humanity. Through history we are able to find our mistakes as a collective and as an individual.
I see why his mind goes to the source. The source of our habits, fears, and defense mechanisms, are of the things molded from our past experiences. Moreover throughout humanity’s habits proven over time.
I actually enjoyed this book better than “An antidote to chaos.” The complex language that he uses only furthers my vocabulary. Quite frankly it was an easy read and personal. I could never listen to someone who gives advice without experience. The overture foreshadowed the book almost entirely.
Where I am at in my way out of chaos, this book has extremely changed my life.
To the people bashing his political and social beliefs, let me tell you something..
“If you are not open to anything that opposes your beliefs, then just how strong is the thing that you believe in.” One thing I’ve learned as a lesbian with a fully functional authentic mind is that I’ve only really truly learned from those who think differently than I do. Who live differently than I do. I never converse with like-minded folks. Otherwise, I learn nothing. Or sometimes I just really learn nothing.
However, there are obstacles that only those who overcame such hiccups could shed light on.
We are all students of life.
Life will only teach you if you’re willing to learn. And to learn anything you have to know that you do not know everything. That maybe a conservative like Peterson would have the answers.
Something like a democracy. Opposition is needed for a better solution.
Thank you Dr. Peterson.
Fantastic text!!
