Tony had found his love for a lifetime only to lose her soon; he couldn't fall in love again even if he tried. He becomes a nice person to a cold-hearted person after his wife's death. He even helps a person who decides to die by suicide, which is considered ethically wrong by the world, but to Tony, he was just helping a drug addict get his freedom from addiction/life, He wasn't entirely wrong; it was an ethical dilemma for me too, Was Tony wrong or right? I still don't know . He tries hard to live, sadly, time just couldn't heal the pain, and it just feels sad to see him that way, Along with his bunch of lonely colleagues, the loneliness vibe hits hard in the show. Though, his sarcasm runs the show, it becomes his bitter coping mechanism, hurting innocents. Some incidents/encounters change him back to the nice person he was before. He tries to survive for the love of the dog and with the love his wife gave him. It was literally a survival for him, It was sad, world is unfair sometimes, I was rooting for his second love, but his first love was overpowering everything else. This show is a reminder that we are nothing but machines made up of flesh without love; evolution sucks!
