It pains me to say this as I’m a massive AC fan but I’ve just completed the game and been left a little disappointed. Firstly - the story is way to short I spent months on oddesey and longer on Valhalla but I completed mirage in about 2 weeks of just casual playing. Second - I can see that they have tried to return to original AC ways of playing it’s very reminiscent of brotherhood but the change of battle controls and free running have spoilt it for me a little. Thirdly and maybe the biggest point - there is just a lack of objectivity, outside of the story line there is just nothing to do, not much to explore or discover. I want to finish on a positive - visually it’s a master piece by far the best graphics in the franchise so far. But I wanted a game not an art piece. Ubisoft on the next one can we please return to the swashbuckling of black flag or the brutality of Valhalla.
