It's been ages since I started reading novels, but it took me forever to convince myself to read Amarbail, but in the end i had to read it and it just didn't manage to leave a lasting impression on me. There were like endless aspects which i found to be missing in this story and I think the writer could've done a better job with both the protagonists. She could've put a little more effort on strengthening the bond between the characters. And forgive me for this but I thought Umer's death to be the sole reason behind the hype of this novel.
