When i first heard that one of my favourite trilogies was getting adapted into a TV series, i was quite excited but it was a huge let down. Although the casting was perfect, the series felt rushed. The characters had no depth and Pip just got clues so easily. What was the point of showing that Victor might be cheating on her mom, making Nat Andie’s best friend instead of showing what a bully Andie was which was vital to show her complex character. Stanley Forbes didn’t even exist and nobody grieved for Barney. Why would Elliot Ward knowingly keep the wrong girl captive? Ravi just randomly decides to leave and Jason Bell is not revealed to be abusive until the very end. I could go on… I understand that adaptations have some changes but this was A LOT. They could have rather made it into 8-10 episodes long series.
