As a fan of the story of Hansel and Gretel, I was disappointed in this adaptation. On the plus side, there were some great visuals and the whole vibe was creepy. Unfortunately, the director took a story about a witch who eats children in the woods and somehow managed to make it boring. I kept looking at my watch to see how much longer I had sit there. It may be worth a watch on a rainy day once it goes to Netflix, but I wouldn’t waste my money at the theater.
