A huge disappointment, especially for fans of the original. It’s honestly hard to believe this was made in 2025 the direction felt sloppy. Scenes jumped and glitched from one to the next with no logic or flow, making it confusing and frustrating to watch. There were moments where characters were dying, and yet no one seemed scared or even remotely bothered. The lack of emotional response completely killed any tension or suspense. Most of the acting was painfully forced and fake. It felt like the cast were reading lines rather than actually playing characters. There was no chemistry, no believability, just awkward performances all around. To give some credit, the gore effects were well done definitely graphic and intense, so if you're into horror for the gore alone, that might be the one redeeming quality. But even then, it wasn’t enough to make up for the messy storyline, poor direction, and cringeworthy acting. In the end, it felt like a rushed and soulless remake that completely missed what made the original iconic. Disappointing from start to finish.
