I tried very hard to enjoy this game, but in the end it’s fairly lame. If you want a simulator and are a car enthusiast, plenty to look at. If you want a fun driving experience, this game is fairly lame. There is no damage model, which makes the cars feel like flying bricks with little incentive or a permanent penalty to avoid collisions. There is a slew of nonsense excuses as to why this is the case (licensing issues, gives players incentive to crash rather than drive…), but none hold any water. It can be as simple as giving you the option to enable damage, which would make the experience more realistic and high stakes. Without an adequate collisions and damage component, the game just feels artificial and it detracts from the experience. Playing in split screen requires to spend a few hours collecting cars and some other nonsense before you are allowed to. When you first go into the world map, it forces you to watch credits without telling you what it’s actually doing (probably downloading some content), which is fine until you realise it takes about 5 to 10 minutes.the menus feel outdated and the text and story telling mechanics feel like a menu system rather than an engaging no experience to forward the game. Mediocre at best.
