This movie is perhaps most famous for its heartbreaking beginning and the beautiful piano piece "Married Life," which touches your heart more than instrumentals in any other film. However, beyond this, the rest of the movie is also thrilling, touching, funny, and enjoyable.
Dug, and all the dogs with talking collars are funny and awesome.
Kevin the bird is so sassy yet lovable.
Russel reminds me of the chubby neighborhood kid that many of us probably knew at some point, but he is actually a good character.
Charles Muntz is one of the best Pixar villains because you can understand his perspective. Muntz devoted his life to finding that bird, so when an old man and a kid discover it instead, it's easy to see why he feels such anger.
You can kind of feel sorry for him, until he takes it too far and attempts to kill everyone.
Ellie is a crazy and hilarious kid, and she is also very adorable as an old lady. Although she doesn't get much screen time, she is a very important character
Carl Fredrickson, at the beginning of the movie, is a tired and cranky old man grieving the loss of his one true love, Ellie. His state of mind is understandable given his profound loss.
He decides to carry out his wife's dream of going to Paradise Falls, But it isn't until he meets Russell, Dug and Kevin, that his life and attitude develop.s Carl ultimately finds happiness again and regains the strength he thought he had lost forever after the death of his wife. He embarks on a new adventure with the most unlikely of friends, fulfilling Ellie’s wish for him to start a new adventure.
This movie conveys an inspiring message on how to start over again after loss, emphasizing the importance of letting go of the past while cherishing it as one moves forward with a renewed sense of purpose.
It's worth a watch.
