In the movie the process of asexual reproduction through parthenocarpy resulted in gene variations wheresas in reality there is no genetic recombination. Thereby making this completely idiotic and stupid. The reason for sexual reproduction was to help "natural selection ". But due to increased safety from nature's perils , people in this movie are still living if you know what I mean.
