Very eclectic coming of age rom-com, that is also very much fun and enjoyable to watch. The cast is also unusual, in that the main characters are played by relative unknowns, but many of the supporting roles feature very well-known, accomplished actors. The acting by all is uniformly excellent. The themes are simple and predictable, such as the depressed girl who is initially turned off by the obnoxiously aggressive boy; then their relationship slowly but surely develops from friends (but definitely not boy friend/girl friend!) into lovers. The movie is not linear in plot development, but always easy to follow and understand. All in all a great movie!
