I read this book in a day. Finished at about 2:30 am. That’s usually the sign of a good read. I stayed up thinking about it for 2 more hours. The more and more I thought, the less and less I liked the book. And there are so many reasons I won’t get into it. The writing is good, it was engaging to read. But the character development and story lines and everything was as messed up as the characters themselves. I didn’t like any of them. I didn’t have a true understanding of any of them. It was like a bunch of oh this could be part of their storyline let’s throw that in and jumble it together and see what comes out. There are also a great deal of missed opportunities. The Ah Ha surprise moment (I think it was supposed to be?!) was evident from far earlier on. A storyline I thought would become an ah ha moment was left in the dust. It’s not bad. But I wouldn’t recommend it with so many other good books out there.
