As a true Barbie fan though my whole childhood, the movie is really disappointing.
The Barbie movie starts off with an enjoyable and captivating beginning, filled with fun and intriguing moments. However, as the story progresses, it veers towards extreme feminism, promoting the idea that women don't need men and omitting the existence of Ken. Additionally, the beauty-centric love story loses its charm as Barbie and Ken are no longer part of the narrative, which may disappoint fans of their classic dynamic. While it brings forward some empowering themes, the film's extreme focus on certain aspects may not resonate with all viewers. What about love in movies nowadays?
