People who are dropping 1 stars are the same type that will drop a 5 star on First Steps next week.
This film is witty, intelligent, and has great character development. It also grapples with where we are headed as a society with some pretty interesting collateral themes, specifically the perpetual existence of literally everyone online and the emergence of AI--albeit the AI theme is quite cursory, but Aster makes his point with the final frame. It also jabs at both the left wing capitalists/neo-liberals and the right-wing populists and it does it well. 5 stars from me. Enjoy your Marvel slop next week 1 star babies.
