It was a decent movie! One gorey kill brought it up. It’s a brutal movie, not insanely so, just more than I expected. If they did that forced romance trope, the rating would’ve been far FAR LOWER and a certain girl’s morality speech was badly timed. In face, I wish the speech came from a certain someone who’s face got ripped apart for the sake of our main protagonist. It would’ve given us some insight on him and his past, more than what happened to his mom and why what the main guy did meant so much to him. The only other reason why it’s not at least 4 stars is the pacing of the climax. Sure it looked cool enough, but it was too fast. You didn’t get to see the villian come to realize the way he was mistaken nor his feelings of anguish like the main guy. It was quite fast and then the ‘vengeance’ was done. I suppose it may have been on purpose to make us feel unsatisfied, but the lesson itself felt forcefully learned and the place of the punisher in the world feels kind of flat. If they had ended with him visiting the grave of his family and remembering some words from someone, that would be different, but they didn’t. That is all. Good movie, it was fine, not emotional for me but a bit shocking bc some things I wasn’t expecting to happen, did.

TLDR: like a microwaved meal, it’s okay but nothing really good or spectacular. Eh. This film… oh boy this film. Let’s start off positive, what worked? The visuals are nice, good voice acting, things do eventually happen with some interesting premises. What doesn’t work? Nearly everything else. The pacing is off, the characters although they mostly bring some unique contributions feel one note in personality. Yes, Moana is aged up, but she still has the name amount of energy. Yes the people she brings with her are supposed to be helpful, but they’re all energetic and less than helpful for most of the film, except for maybe the farmer guy that spends time being a grouch and doing something plant related for most of the voyage. There is hardly a villian in this movie, just a storm and the woman advertised is more of a lackey held captive. There is a lot of interesting themes like the clam jail, sea monsters, and the island itself and how it works, but it’s all brief/hardly explored within itself. There’s a few instances of gross humor and old memes from waaay back that haven’t been relevant for at least the past 5-10 years. This movie has a lot of potential and oppertunities to be REALLY GOOD, but it just dangles the cookie in front of you, then when you reach out to touch it, it throws it out the window and shows you another treat, rinse and repeat. A lot of heartfelt moments for characters to bond are sidelined, rushed in a song or ignored entirely. Kind of spoiler example: A crew member almost dies and when they sit down to mull over their almost death instead of Moana the leader comforting/supporting them, she walks off and Maui sings his pump up song to her. Like ???? Someone just almost DIED and Moana needs the talk?!?! WHERE IS THE HUMANITY?!?! End Spoiler example Anyway, Moana 2 is an okay film that had one song that I think of occasionally bc I like the chorus but that’s about it, and my fav character is a kakamora. That’s about it. A less that stellar sequel that obviously needed more time to COOK, like a microwaved meal; it’s okay but nothing really good or spectacular.

The film is beautiful and doesn’t mince what it feels like to be a parent. When watching the film, I’d say it’s a little of everything: humor, heart, family complexities, dark humor, etc, but it’s all under a kid ‘friendly’ umbrella. It does not lie and casually shows the laws of nature where animals must eat to survive (sometimes that being other animals). If you feel like your family should refrain, that’s your right. However, if you are interested in seeing it, I’d say it’s worth a watch at least once. I do have some nitpicks, but it is is far too minimal to stop me from making my recommendations! The film does not make ‘kid pandering’ jokes nor does it dumb down the points it’s making, but it shows realistically paced change between characters. It is worth the watch and in my opinion it’s really nice!

I was searching for this game for years after not knowing what it was called as a child. I just found the name a few moments ago. I rember it being fun, entertaining and captivating. I am currently searching for a way to install it for free, so I can experience it again!

I remember this movie fondly and I just recalled the tenseness of the final scene with Clara as the land of the dolls reverted back to their regular forms. The music, the impact, the drama. I wouldn't change a thing about it, but ofc its been a while since I've seen it; so take this with a grain of salt. This movie had believable stakes, character and was willing to show individuality. Not to mention that Clara was brave enough to keep her morals and be herself even in terror. I want to watch it again and I will (in about an hour tbh).

The movie is pretty ok. 3 1/2 stars. Luca is the kind of a stereotypical good kid, but he is also aspiring to learn, enjoys time with friends and isn't overly optimistic which makes him a nice character. How he meets Alberto is weird but we'll get to that later. Alberto is the 'take risks' kid who's mind is set on pretending to know everything and influencing Luca on what he believes everything is. He gives Luca some confidence and at the end learns to not shut him self off from everyone else I guess? He is an ok character but I got some really off vibes with him. He isnt exactly an in depth character which he doesn't need but he is very stubborn and has trouble asking for help, thus the I know everything attitude. I do feel a little sympathy with his backstory but that still doesn't excuse his actions. He is eccentric and is kinda toxic in the break up act. Alberto is however a very lonely kid and that's why he probably acted the way he did, not to mention that he's not a bad person just a kid who'sacting stuff to protect himself I guess. Gulia is the human girl who explains the concept of the race to them and later becomes close friends with Luca and thinks of Alberto as one too. She is actually a really endearing character, she's self aware, encouraging and is overall wholesome. She fulfils Lucas' desire to learn and although Alberto isn't relatively nice to her she's always friendly back, always showing concern for both of them. Her father hunts sea monsters. He's thoughtful, goes searching for Alberto after the 'main character break up scene' and shows endearment for the boys. I think that he later on may kinda adopt Alberto and is the role model he needs in his life.The bad guy is some pompous nobody who threatens to slap whoever goes against him? He has two 'side kicks'. The kids are just scared of him. He isnt a serious threat just a wimp who thinks he's on top of the world because he won some money. Generally the characters are ok. I wont discuss the mother and the GINORMOUS LEAP SHE TOOK to keep Luca 'safe' when he's not in immediate danger. The story goes by Shepard sea monster Luca gets forcefully pulled onto land by Alberto who then proceeds to say how he's a professional on land things along with his dad. Their second meet, he teaches Luca how to walk and takes him to his hideout. They chill there over the course of weeks? Mother finds out over time and does drama stuff so Luca runs away, Alberto suggests the human infested island and they go there, meet our two MVP's and train for the contest in order to win a vespa-a cool bike. FYI, there isnt a hint of romantic energy in this movie. Every bit of that notion would be fantasized which I think to be pretty hilarious. They're obviously just kids who are just doing kid things to get what they want. To be honest, they're just kids ROMANCE would be the absolute last thing on their minds and this movie got it right. It's a decent story but a questionable 'healthy' friendship between the main character and his friend Alberto. I feel like the best friendship in this movie is between Luca and Gulia. But they are learning kids and life gets messy so who am I. The scenery, atmosphere, etc is beautiful. Nice animation. Blah blah its Pixar and or Disney.

Step in the right direction Love Nimona’s character (chaotic queen), the themes of the way people view you can change and twist the truth. Movie isn’t too serious but has some serious themes, although I wouldn’t rate it PG without some warnings for parents of all cultures, I wouldn’t deem it a terrible movie at all. Not one that I liked, but one that’s pretty okay in the most fun, chaotic way possible while holding true to the story. Movie is colorful tastefully and is animated well. It’s not shy of quilt remarks or go with the flow personality. I would recommend for a mid teen group (age 15 and up) where they aren’t as vulnerably influential, but can digest the message this movie is trying to depict and be mature enough to discuss if needed. It wasn’t quite suited to my tastes, but it doesn’t mean that it was a bad movie! 3/5 stars from me to the chaotic queen Nimona! Oh and the other guy in black armor was alright too! “Something something something, WE WIN!”
