Great concept with poor execution. The CGI was done well. About half way through the movie there was the appearance of branching into several smaller story arcs, but not a single character arc was closed out or resolved. Nearly every scene was a cliché, overdone trope. There were numerous contradictions and painful oversights. The quality of acting was average at best, with a few characters being played exceptionally well only to be offset by a few being played exceptionally poorly. Certain characters are impossible to like or dislike because they are simply boring. This movie had great potential to "tug the heart strings" and create an emotional attachment and relatability to the characters and setting, but did not succeed at doing so.
