When we started watching News Nation, we had hoped it would truly be balanced and report the news objectively without adding supercilious (opinionated) adjectives. For example, tonight Leland Vittert (On Balance) referred to breaking news about the new Covid variant Omicron as "lunatic" news. Maybe to him it is lunacy, but to many of us who are trying to stay healthy and protected, we need to know the facts--just the facts--as they come through. No adjectives, no opinions. Just scientific facts. Just report the news, leave it to the viewers to determine if breaking news is lunacy or not. Mr. Vittert is sounding more and more like Tucker Carlson. I will not be watching any more. Back to PBS News Hour and NPR for us.
