We waited years and 5 games to see a glimpse of the master chief’s face, and all we got to see were his eyes in Halo 4. The movie blasts his helmet of within 40 minutes of the first season. The Master chief has ALWAYS been a character of very few, very impactful words. His actions have always spoken for him. This show obliterates his character. Master chief should have never done a sex scene, nonetheless with a covenant spy. None of the story makes sense and it doesn’t follow the incredible source material at all. They could have spent the first season on the build up of the spartan 2 program. Then they could have lead up to the battle for reach in season 2. Season 3 could have been a straight season of the epic battle for reach and so on and so forth. There is no build up in this show. There is no mystery around who spartan 117 is. It’s so far fetched from the original games and it does not do any of the spartans justice. Hollywood has dropped the ball once again. The Mandalorian is the perfect example of how you can have a badass character without saying a word.
