Me personally, I cannot fathom why the reviews of this film are so bad? It was created in a way that should attract all walks of life, spiritual life, Christian morals with societal blends! All I can figure, is it’s too symbolic for modern society to understand, which is sad! I felt compassion for every character while watching. It was so messy, but isn’t life just that! I laughed many times, felt exposed-then relieved at times, because obviously I wasn’t alone. I totally understand why Amy Adam’s chose to do this work. Especially considering her appearance (timelessly beautiful, but not “Hollywood acceptable”). This movie wasn’t about glamour or lust, but truth. It was real despite the mystique… I believe it was well done! It’s a very deep film, that peels through the emotions of modern day life and the expectations of family. It was time well spent for myself!
