I've never played dungeons and dragons. I don't know anything about the lore. And I've never played turn based games outside of pokemon. But I'm a huge rpg fantasy gamer. Skyrim was my all time favorite. And the further 3 was a close second. I just started playing bg3 last week. I'm only in act 2 but holy 💩, this is magical. I've never left a review on a game before. But this feels like how it felt to play skyrim for the first time. Staying up into the late hours after work just to get a little further in. And not caring how tired I am the next day. Excited to dive back into the game. The graphics, music, design, combat, the exploration. The choices. I've always been a sucker for choice games like the tell tale games, wolf among us, walking dead. Detroit become human. This is a combination of that in a fantasy rpg. I admit there are learning curves but they are so gratifying. I haven't even completed the game and I'm here raving about it. The game devs out did themselves. This is a masterpiece. You know it's a good game when you want to take your sweet time but also are planning your next playthrough. This game makes me feel the love of gaming again. It like feeling like a kid. And I lose myself in the world, I haven't felt like that with a game for years. This is a daydream and I love it. I would recommend this to all fantasy gamers, you might have to watch some videos on combat and strategy like i did. But this might be my #1 game.
