I saw this for the first time 40 50 years ago? It's obviously a classic. I just want to say there's no heroes (my favorite being Jimmy Stewart,) without a villain. And Lee Marvin did a great job. You should check him out his other movies. He's certainly a multi-dimensional actor.

It's a good thing. The show moves on a fairly rapid pace, otherwise you'd have time to ask questions like why not wear scuba gear or put some support posts on the scale?

True to the book and it was a good book.
