This movie is worth your time if you are a true Wonka aficionado. Not really a children’s movie. Having seen the original, not so much the Johnny Depp version, is helpful. All that said, Chamalet does a great job and the touches of humor and some dark story lines work well. The new songs are fun and entertaining. As for a Hugh Grant. Great casting and great job even if he’s being a bit of a jerk about his part in the post production media blitz. Just some good wholesome Hollywood fare. With your two hours.
