I found this pretty dull and pedestrian. It’s far too long and consists mostly of people talking. The script is full of pointless detours - the rape, for example - so it’s not clear what the film is trying to say. The roles of architecture and modernism are dealt with at arm’s length and are never successfully presented with any kind of force or vitality. The final segment sums up the architect’s vision and intentions coolly and concisely but seems like it’s from a different film, and the ridiculously upbeat end title music is bizarre in the extreme.

Terrible script, boring, convoluted, unfunny, pointless. This is a movie for a generation who can’t understand anything beyond an unending stream of in-jokes and cliches. The score is the same old same old and the use of popular songs is baffling and inappropriate.

I was so bored I left after an hour.
