This game is the ultimate 2D ninja game. Instead of tedious platforming through levels that make no sense, this game has been carefully crafted so that the levels are coherent, the maps makes sense, and they take a careful approach. Unlike most video games where the protagonist is a shinobi, this game actually requires you to play like one. Running around in the open is a good way to fail every time. Instead, you have to stick to the shadows and plan your movement. There’s plenty of fast-paced action, too, but it’s all in the context of silently eliminating the opposition and finishing the mission.
