the first one third of the book just shows them as a white rich family and is really boring, but I think the author wanted that, to show how stereotypical they were. Near the middle of the book you start to notice some odd things that don't make a lot of sense. She (the main character cadence) also notices some weird things and from there, when she sets out to answer her questions, the book gets absolutely crazy. You will in no way see the plot twist coming, it's shocking. You can't tell what's true and what's not and I definitely recommend it. It's gonna be boring at first but don't drop the book it's worth your time
