I didn’t watch the TV series for Ms. Marvel or this film The Marvels until now due to all the internet keyboard warriors. Gave both a chance and I enjoyed. The film was as funny & action packed as any other MCU movie, I watched every MCU phase 1 movie in theaters and this one was no worse.

I thought this movie served as good satire of today’s world. The mother’s line “You’re a grown up when you’ve failed at things you really care about” was one that really resonated with me as a person in my late 20s. I found the awkward weirdness throughout much of the film to be a type of humor. I think the negative reviews mostly stem from Brie Larson’s politics. As an Indie film I would rate this highly as I’ve seen stranger/worse films.
