I had no idea what this movie was about going in. Its captivating. Go see it and dont let anyone spoil it for you.

I was a huge succession fan and really like these actors in other projects. But something about this movie just lacked charisma. It’s a satire but not that funny, I laughed at some lines but not much. Its a slow burn thriller that doesn't go anywhere. And it’s a high concept scathing review of tech bros with a near future AI that is destroying the world. I don’t know- maybe the movie is just too wordy, like someone trying to be Sorkin on adderall with a thesaurus. Its not awful but I didnt care about the characters and even though they are supposed to be hateable the best bad guys should still be charismatic. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re just bored and running out of Netflix content.

I have liked Tom’s standup in the past. But this show is always just whats the next worst thing that can happen. Over and over again. I am not easily offended and am fine with raunchy humor but when its nonstop it just feels lazy and repetitive. He could have mixed these insane ideas with other sketches that you laugh out at for reasons other then shock value.
