I can understand the storyline of a Jewish woman trying to break free from the social bonds she despises.
But it only shows one side of the story and when we are led into this world of cinema, we audience are so enthralled by the whole web weaved, that we forget that this situation occurs in every country and culture. We also have to remind ourselves that the men in such communities also have a burden to bear and their suffering and anguish is no less than the woman's.
I think it's time to create harmony between the two genders instead of showing certain gender victimhood so societies such as these can emulate them and grow instead of the divide they create.
Not a fan of the show for sure....
