This show had SO MUCH potential. I love the racial and sexual inclusivity but where is Scooby doo? Sure they can’t have animals in a school but what if ‘Norville’ was autistic and nonverbal to other people so instead he talks to his dog, Scooby, who uses his nose and ears to help Velma find her missing mother, also Daphne’s design does not look like an Asian woman, she just looks like all the other hot girls in the school. Fred is a giant baby which is a completely unnecessary addition, I like the idea of him being a spoiled bratty rich kid but why is he completely dependant on everyone else. As to not lose the ‘shaggy-mess’ of shaggy we could give him back his name, and have him take prescription medication called ‘Zoinks’ so that he still has his pot-head aesthetic but we make him white so that it’s not a racist stereotype, we could instead make Daphne a black woman and make Fred a White/Asian, his father could be South Korean and that’s why he’s so strict and expects so much from Fred. With all these subtle changes we add Shaggys ‘Shaggy-ness’, we add Scooby, we avoid racial stereotypes towards black people being drug addicts by changing around the racial backgrounds. Another thing, if we could make the characters less insufferable that would be fantastic, even without the other additions, just making the characters less annoying would bring the ratings up. If the creators of this series ever want to try again then please contact me because I will gladly write a new script for free. This show has so much potential and a fantastic plot, it was just the execution that was the problem. If the creators are reading this, please contact me and I will happily rewrite the script for free.
