Played Monster Hunter since the OG on PS2. This is a great game if you have never played one of the series before and like easy rpg games. But as a Monster Hunter game it really does fail quite miserably, the new focus mode mechanic makes all monsters extremely easy and all the monsters have little health and dont hit hard at all compared to previous titles - i completed Low rank and high rank solo in low rank armour and carted maybe 3 times altogether tops, even in World and Rise that would of been a tough-ish feat.
It seems they have pandered to the new player too much and forsaken their die hard fans. It's easy enough to breeze through all of it without using the many health bugs/wasps that litter the maps, using your mount to escape danger and heal mid fight or just wait for your cat to spam healing items on you every second before you even think about using a potion. Anyone who says this game isn't easier than World or Rise is just bald face lying and thats a feat in itself!
End of high rank and you can already have pretty much all the top gear and decorations. What's the incentive to hunt more monsters in new title updates if you've already got everything aside from their new set of armour/weapons when your skills are already mastered and gear is too OP for all the end game stuff anyway? Let alone if they want to do a master rank/G rank expansion?
Very dissappointing to us loyal fans of the series.
