I am so sorry, it was not all that. The animated version was way better. This movie was very over-hyped and had no emotion to it like the original was. Instead of the pure and joyful vibe from the 1994 version, I was met with a tenser and darker version of the Lion King. I understand it can't always be exactly the same, but in my opinion the true essence of the film was lost. The animation was beautiful and very well done, but it lacked the expression and emotion the original had in spare. To be completely honest it didn't get really good until Timon and Pumbaa came in. they stole the show and gave the film more finesse and I feel like they had the most expression put into them than all the other characters in the film. This was just my experience. I did like the music, though. The music was very enjoyable and well paced. I liked the new songs too, very catchy.
