If you have read the eddas, or actually studied Viking History and Mythology, this movie is dead on. Using the Icelandic tongue where subtitles were used gives the viewer even more realism. This movie was never intended to be a thriller, it was intended to provide a realistic view of this period and incorporate the saga story line that one would find in the eddas. The one star raters clearly had no concept of Viking History nor Mythology, if they did, they would have greatly appreciated this film. When it is available on DVD, this will be a must add to my historically accurat History films collection.
