Enjoyed this new take on the story, but the casting decisions went from bad to worse. The leads (Andrew Scott and Johnny Flynn) were just too old to be playing those parts (although Flynn's performance was quite strong.) Dakota Fanning was more convincing age-wise, although offering a pretty flat performance throughout. But the standout stinker was Eliot Sumner, who was horribly miscast as Freddie Miles. Sumner may consider themselves as not having a gender (IRL), but they came across as a woman trying to portray a man--doing it abysmally. It confused the story terribly. A Razzie should be awarded for casting.
