Terrible character writing, terrible world building and terrible storytelling. Quite possibly the most straight book i've ever read, if thats even a possible concept. Call me a hater but i genuinely don't understand how people enjoy this, let alone allow this to be read in schools.
The characters are so bland and feel like unseasoned chicken and green beans dished on a paper plate. They can all be described with a singular adjective and are incredibly forgettable. They have no discerning traits and seem to have extremely empty motives.
The world is set in a basic and cliche dystopian novel setting with antagonists that have no real purpose. The romance is dry and feels forced; they literally have no chemistry, if this book was adapted, it would be a boring ass harem anime.
the demographic of this book seems to be horny teens and thats lowk odd for a dystopian book. 0.5/10 , would never recommend, even to my worst enemy.
