This is the first Blockbuster feature film of India. The second one is Ashok Kumar starrer Kismet and then Mother India, Mughal-e- Azam.... The subject of the film was little bold/advance considering the period when it was released. It was a trend setting film. There are so many films plagiarised the theme from this movie and became superhit. I rate this movie very high on my list, considering the time when it was released. The cinematography of Dwaraka Divecha (Sholay fame) and music was so praiseworthy.
