don’t usually write reviews, but I felt like this one deserved it.
Spoilers ahead:
The concept of K-pop idols being demon hunters was slightly creative, and I did enjoy that idea at first. But toward the end, it really lost its spark.
The whole “half-demon, half-hunter because her parents fell in love” angle has been done many times before, and it didn’t feel fresh here.
What really bothered me, though, was the emotional writing:
The main character was shamed for being part demon — by her closest friends and her aunt, no less — and none of them apologized. Instead, they just went back to normal at the end like she hadn’t carried all that shame alone. Her friends literally pulled swords on her… and we’re supposed to believe they’re all good again with no real conversation or healing?
And of course, the demon she connected with had the typical tragic backstory and sacrificed himself for her. Very predictable.
I was really hoping she’d turn into a villain or at least choose a different path — something more complex. The idea was cool (I mean, K-pop + demon hunting?), but the execution felt safe, familiar, and lacking depth where it mattered most.
