It seems by the reviews that if you did not read the book upon which the series is based you might actually like this Netflix show. Well, I can tell you I did not read the book, and my family and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Both the child and adult actresses who played Marie as a child and adult respectively were not professional actors when selected for their parts. They were marvelous in this feature! Again, I have not read the book so I can't tell you if it does the author's work justice. However, I will be surprised if it doesn't win some major awards. Watch All the Light We Cannot See with an open mind, and most of all, enjoy it!
