I was intrigued by the idea of an anime centered around "Gamers" going about their lives, discovering new passions, and what it means to be a gamer. I wasn't fully aware of the show becoming a romcom, but it was a welcomed choice. I enjoy how wholesome the characters can be, and how the conversations actually. feel natural. The humor can be subtle, or in your face. A nice variety, which I enjoy, the self awareness of romantic clichés also work well, and don't interfere with the clichés when they do arise. The show feels like a very honest depiction of highschool kids stressing about relationship drama, and coping through videogames. My only criticism would be the reuse of past dramas to revive tension near the end, the misguided narratives the characters share is a big part of the show, but even after they clear things up, they still go back to believing the narratives later on which feels repetitive, and lazy. Overall a good watch!
