Appallingly dull film. Goodness knows I tried to love it the first time, and then by the 2nd just tried to break even with liking it, or just not feeling my time and their budget was wasted. It's so subtle and delicately empty, it's like falling asleep during meditation, all the promises emptied away into the ether.
Though the book is brilliant, with much more detail and nuance, and written expertly.
