Long-time Pokémon fan, but I missed out on Generations VII and VII. This game is unlike any previous core-series installment I’ve played, in a wonderful way. The gameplay is familiar, but the new features and changes adapt the franchise to the Switch, update play and add a lot of fun (anyone else not wowed by the Poketch, Contests and the Pokéthon?). So far, I’ve got my Rillaboom to level 51, but I only have one gym badge. I’ve just been having so much fun in the Wild Area and with Dynamaxing. Anyone new to the franchise will be able to pick up and play with ease. Anyone familiar with the franchise will love how it’s finally be reimagined for today’s gaming engines.
