A lot of these reviews are laughable.
People affronted by what they see as, "WOKE", (which I'd imagine is simply everything that they dislike.... "It was better in my day..." etc). Some upset by young people having sex for God's sake!
"UNREALISTIC" (ON WHICH PLANET?) 'swearing', and even being upset in case an imaginary 'man in the sky', (who apparently lives there with billions of dead people), becomes offended by the 'language' on tv! Seriously? Has he nothing better to be getting on with? Are you sure he has a tv? I'm not sure that an immaterial entity could possibly possess material goods. Doubt Currys 'deliver'! ;-)
As for the oft repeated, yet risible remark, 'I hope that consulates aren't really like this....(ha ha)' etc, believe me, if you REALLY were in trouble abroad, you'd kiss the behind of any consulate, and I'd suggest that you'd be more than happy to see this one!
Anyway, ignore the negs, they are people who are just very easily offended, and are therefore trying to explain it away. Obviously being 'offended' in isolation, is a bit sad and naff!
Remember! Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.
I thought the series was good fun. The acting was fine, nothing below the standards of contemporary dramas, and the mix of a 'theme per episode', and an ongoing story throughout the series, worked well. And with Catalonia as a very pretty backdrop, it was an agreeable way to spend an hour......... Unless of course, you like GBNews.
