I watched this with hopes it would be entertaining, but sadly it wasn’t. The premise is about a girl that repeatedly sabotages herself with her own stupidity. While Harriet is undoubtedly awkward and a geek in her own right, she is also painfully naive and idiotic. There is no way in hell anyone in her life doesn’t tell her things straight as they are: letting her bullies walk over her, constantly crying that she is a model, and blurting every stupid thought that pops into her head. It’s crazy that at no point did her parents or agent take her phone. I’ll concede, I get it, it’s a teeny-cheesy show. But it’s painfully over the top and will leave a viewer with a headache and sadly regretting the wasted time watching the show. I know that’s harsh, but it is what it is. The show could’ve been so much better focusing on the Harriet’s growth and becoming more comfortable as each episode proceeds, but instead and catastrophe after catastrophe with minimal growth. Watch at your own risk.
