Beautiful film, haven't watched it for 30 years or so, but what I remember is the quiet desperation of the human spirit.

Fantastic! I had no idea and I am glad I have come late to the party.

Brilliant performances, brilliant script.

One of my favourite films of all time and not just for the homoerotic pleasure of seeing beautiful golden brown firm buttocks bouncing in almost every scene. The pace of the film quickens your heart as it simultaneously tears it apart as the many facets of humanity are exposed in this primitive timeline which mirrors the drive to survive that all humans have in our nature regardless of when we were born.

Another brilliant film by the marvelous Jodie Foster. It is these films which raise films to their form as art. The sense of urgency, grief, drive Foster displays are seamlessly crafted so that we viewers forget that she is she and truly believe the character. A surprising and welcome addition to the cast are Greta Scacchi in a small role and the wonderfully emotive Sean Bean as the charming, sympathetic, annoyed, well trained Captain, the latter raising to meet Foster's abilities with equal skill, making this film (with all the other brilliant actors) a tense, thrilling, emotional roller coaster which could take place in many places not just a plane.

Brilliant Film, Suspense, Mystery, Corruption, Wonderful acting from Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. The human experience, so complex interwoven with the politics which we can't escape.

Brilliant film. Life is not cookie cutter perfection.

I wonder what it would be like to be alive.... and .... This film, I watch once or so per year(ish) after coveting it from when I first saw it on TV for free in the 80s? I wonder if these are the ancestors of my species and have been handed down..... anywhoooo, it feels correct and the 'magic' feels right.

Terrible story telling, the fight scenes seemed formulaic, Tom Cruise was Tom Cruise instead of the character and there was no chemistry between his character and the 'love' interest.
