About 3.6 Roetgen. Not great, not terrible. The writing is the main problem with the game, which is a big deal considering it’s a character-based narrative game. That’s like the only thing you have to get right and it ranges from mediocre to terrible depending on the moment. There is one subplot involving Riley (being ambiguous for spoilers) that is pretty much single-handedly preventing me from giving this game a 1-star rating because it’s just too juicy and delivers on this game’s promise of tough, heart-wrenching, and impactful choices. If you’re a fan of life is strange games, this is pretty much more of the same and you will probably be somewhat satisfied. I recommend looking for when it goes on sale. If you are new to the series, please do yourself a favour and put the money towards something with a little more passion and story behind it in the meantime and wait for the next game in the franchise where hopefully they will hire some real writing talent.
